Hospice of Miami County, Inc. provides care and case management for persons dealing with a life ending illness in patient's home or other residence, nursing facility or medical facility.
Hospice care is specially designed to comfort patients and family members when patients have reached a point in their lives where the priority of care turns to ensuring the patient is at ease, rather than curing the illness.

Hospice of Dayton has a long-standing collaborative relationship with more than one hundred area nursing homes, assisted living facilities, extended care facilities and area hospitals so patients can receive hospice care in the setting where they feel most at home, whether that is in their own residence, our 51 private-bed room at our Care Center on Wilmington Avenue; our 13 private-bed in-patient facility (near the Atrium Medical Center serving Butler and Warren Co. residents); or with one of our partner organizations.

If hospice is requested, an OhioHealth at Home hospice provider will visit your home and explain how we can best help you and your family. Hospice programs offer 24/7 on-call staff, care coordination, nursing, social worker and chaplain visits, pain and symptom management, medications, home medical equipment and supplies, massage therapy, sibling, patient and family emotional support and counseling, spiritual services and bereavement support and follow-up.
