Assure provides some limited financial assistance for those who have been impacted by suicide, including funeral expense assistance.

Provides assistance through food distribution, bill assistance, and resource support. Some examples may include access to and/or maintenance of housing, food, meal delivery, utilities, clothing, medical treatment, automobile repair, funeral expenses, school supplies, childcare expenses, or pastoral care.

Assists veterans in a variety of ways. Provides food and clothing vouchers in emergency situations. In certain circumstances, provides assistance with paying for rent, rent deposit, mobile home lot rental fees, and utility payments (gas, electric, and water). Will help with transportation expenses (which is usually in the form of bus passes). Does not help with property taxes, car insurance, or car payments. Will consider other emergency needs that veterans and their eligible dependents may have on a case-by-case basis.

Assistance may be available for clients who have no resources to pay for burial/cremation and who do not qualify for the Indigent Burial Program through their local municipality.

Helps make arrangements with funeral homes to pay expenses for funerals of children aged 18 and under.

Helps to meet a variety of unforseeable emergency needs for Veterans and dependent survivors. Provides food vouchers in emergency situations. May provide assistance wih rent, utility payments and mortgage payments. Assists with burial expenses for indigent Veterans. Will provide motel vouchers for homeless clients who need short-term temporary shelter (during the short-term placement, agency will connect the client to homeless services through Veterans Affairs).

Indigent residents of the City of Newark only. If individual is proven to be indigent and family can be located, they are required to meet with a funeral director for preparation of the deceased before calling Cedar Hill for cremation. If no family can be located, the coroner will contact Cedar Hill to proceed. Cremation services only are provided, along with a basic service, no calling hours, and ashes are buried at Cedar Hill. If family prefers to take ashes home, Cedar Hill will pay only for the cremation. Special circumstances apply to veterans, but must be arranged through VA first.

Offers financial assistance to defray the funeral expenses for veterans. Will assist up to $1000 plus the cost of setting a government marker.

Provides financial assistance for COVID-19 related funeral expenses. Assistance may be used to cover the costs of funeral services and interment or cremation, such as a casket/urn, marker/headstone, burial plot, cremation, funeral services/ceremony, etc.

Offers financial assistance to help families/friends who have lost a loved one pay for the cremation of the individual's remains.

Also available to make community presentations about these services.

Burial expense assistance is available for low-income and indigent veterans. Funds are managed by Township Trustees.

This ministry is available through an Aspire Ministries partner church. This ministry will provide care to grieving families in their time of need by providing funds for cremation, a pastor will be available for the funeral, funeral home, and graveside service. A funeral dinner may be provided for the family. A referral helps as it will speed up our intake process to make it easier on the family.

Offers Burial expense assistance that is available for low-income and indigent individuals. Funds are managed by Township Trustees.
