FEMA will reimburse the families of COVID-19 victims for funeral expenses incurred after January 20, 2020. Assists veterans with little or no income in a variety of ways: provides food and clothing vouchers, which are only honored in Cuyahoga County, in emergency situations. In certain circumstances, provides assistance with paying for rent, rent deposit, mobile home lot rental fees, and utility payments (gas, electric, and water). Will help with transportation expenses (which is usually in the form of bus passes). Does not help with property taxes, car insurance, or car payments. Assists with up to $999 in burial expenses for indigent veterans.

FEMA will continue to provide funeral assistance until September 30, 2025, to those who have lost loved ones due to this pandemic. FEMA will not accept online applications.
