Once the child has been referred, the parent will be assigned a Parent Educator. The Parent Educator is a trained professional in child development who will schedule visits that are at a convenient time and place for the family. At those visits, the Parent Educator will bring age-appropriate activities and materials for the parent and child, bring information in response to any questions or needs, provide guidance for challenges such as crying, hitting, sleeping routines, and potty training, conduct developmental screenings and assessments, share what can expected during each stage of development, encourage and support you the parent to become the child's most important teacher, and connect the parent to needed resources and services in the community. Parents as Teachers also offers opportunities to connect with other families. Clients can participate in special groups such as Families in the Kitchen, All About Reading, Let's Paint, and Preschool Prep, as well as, a group through social media called Parents Connect.

Offers counseling and support to pregnant women from a pro-life perspective. Provides referrals to adoption agencies, county programs, doctors and hospitals, and psychiatric counseling. Support can be offered to the client's family as well as to the father (or alleged father) of the baby. Participants have the opportunity to earn points that may be used to purchase baby items from the agency such as: infant clothing, formula, diapers, etc.

Provides home based early literacy services, assessments, support, resources to pregnant moms, caregivers, parents of children up to the age of 5, with a concentration on ages 0-2. Also provides monthly wellness sessions as well as monthly parenting and information support groups.

Provides assessment and investigation of child abuse, neglect, and dependency and determination of the need for child welfare services. Provides referrals for single parents regarding pregnancy and planning for unborn children.

Provides a voluntary family support program for pregnant women or new parents. Professionals visit the home to promote skills and tools to foster the healthy growth and development of children. Program includes activities that help mothers and fathers better understand and support their child's needs. Will also refer to other community resources as needed.

Clients will also be offered information on infant safe sleep, nutrition, and parenting skills. Linkage to appriate community services will be provided.

Provides a program to help young parents deal with their dual role as adolescent and parent. Parenting classes, life skills education, and case management (to link the client to appropriate community services) are provided.

Pairs Christian leaders (mentors) with teen mothers to help them access resources, participate in mother/child activities, develop parenting skills, acquire employment, graduate high school, etc.

Provides individualized video appointments that educate expectant parents about aspects of pregnancy, labor and delivery, newborn/infant care, infant/child development parenting, and other topics including life-skills.

Offers a 10-week parenting class that provides information for the first two (2) years after baby's birth. Limited childcare available during class.

Provides weekly transit passes and referrals to programs to assist eligible families needing to travel to needed services. Service includes assistance with finding and using community services to support those expecting a child.

*NOTE* Faith-based component. 6 week course in a group setting. Covers such topics as infant care and development, virtue, time management, stress management, discipline, importance of reading to your child, how to tell your child about God, car seat safety, and Infant CPR. Upon completion of the class, each family can receive a new crib with a mattress or an infant car seat.
