Provides community and school-based services to support pregnant and parenting teens in Franklin County. Resource advocates work one on one with teens to help foster success in education, healthy babies, effective parenting, healthy relationships, stable housing and delayed subsequent pregnancy. Services are provided for up to 2 years. Work with teen moms and dads. Also offers teen parent education and support groups at select area high schools.

Provides assistance to new and expectant parents to help them attain items needed for babies and/or children under the age of 2 such as cribs, car seats, pack-n-plays, strollers, diapers, wipes and other baby care essentials. Offers life skills education for new parents and mentoring programs.

Offers childbirth education classes such as natural childbirth, lamaze, HypnoBirthing, relaxation techniques, multiple birth, bedrest and cesarean birth. Also offers classes for siblings and grandparents. Offers a yoga class for pregnant women focusing on relaxation and breathing. Also, offers instruction in infant massage for parents of babies up to one year of age. Also offers specialized counseling for women experiencing depression due to pregnancy or childbirth.

Provides free, educational and supportive services that help new parents or those expecting a child. Includes information about nutrition, healthy pregnancy, and infant care.

Offers a Home Visiting program that supports parents as their child's earliest and best teacher and helps children grow, learn, and reach their full potential. Once the child has been referred, the parent will be assigned a Parent Educator. The Parent Educator is a trained professional in child development who will schedule visits that are at a convenient time and place for the family. At those visits, the Parent Educator will bring age-appropriate activities and materials for the parent and child, bring information in response to any questions or needs, provide guidance for challenges such as crying, hitting, sleeping routines, and potty training, conduct developmental screenings and assessments, share what can expected during each stage of development, encourage and support you the parent to become the child's most important teacher, and connect the parent to needed resources and services in the community. Parents as Teachers also offers opportunities to connect with other families. Clients can participate in special groups such as Families in the Kitchen, All About Reading, Let's Paint, and Preschool Prep, as well as, a group through social media called Parents Connect.

Surrounds pregnant and new mothers with support, education and resources in a weekly group program to ensure a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. Services include prenatal and child birth education, medical referrals, talking with doctors and nurses, parenting resources, food assistance, baby items, as well as a healthy meal and the opportunity to socialize with other pregnant moms. Childcare and $5 Kroger gift card at each meeting. Transportation provided if needed.

Provides expectant mothers with educational and life skills classes to increase the likelihood that they will obtain proper prenatal care. Recruits and trains "Buddies" who can offer social and emotional support before and after the child's birth. We also provide parenting and LifeSkills classes to prevent the incidence of child abuse and neglect. We also can help with emergent needs for infant clothing and diapers. and food - after classes there is a meal

Provides information, emotional support, and encouragement as you step into this new role of parent. Court ordered classes accepted here as well.

Attendees can earn credits that can be exchanged for baby items that range from baby diapers to strollers and cribs, based on the number of sessions that participants complete.

Provides support and help to new and expectant parents through an "earn while you learn" program which allows them to earn points towards obtaining baby items; Also provides assistance searching for other human services.

Provides wrap around pregnancy services to women and families with children under the age of two. Other services available, but not limited to accessing supplies (cribs, diapers, breastfeeding pumps), securing housing information and connecting to family and individual support program

Topics include pregnancy/birth, breastfeeding, parenting, coparenting, life skills, healthy relationships, special circumstances, Bible studies, fatherhood lessons and other pertinent topics for moms and dads. Many classes are available in Spanish. Participating mothers earn "Baby Bucks" and participating fathers earn "Dad's Dollars" by attending or participating in classes. The "Baby Bucks" and "Dad's Dollars" vouchers can be used towards the purchase of diapers, formula, and other baby items.
