Help Me Grow Home Visiting is Ohio's program for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers. The program provides health and developmental services so that children start school healthy and ready to learn. Help Me Grow works with parents to support young children's development. Home Visitors provide on-going home visits in the home; focus on improving prenatal health habits and infant care giving skills; provide information on child's health, growth, education and development through the Parents As Teachers program; provide screenings for health, hearing, vision and development; connect families with community resources and services. Affiliated with the evidence-based home visiting model Parents As Teachers. Services include - Developmental Screening - Information on parenting tips - Assistance in developing and reaching family goals - Home Visits to help each child stay "on the road" to healthy growth and development - Service Coordination - professional nurses, teachers, or other qualified staff who share their knowledge about available resources, assist families in connecting with needed services, coordinate services to help families meet their needs and goals. Help Me Grow is - Family-friendly and family centered - Supportive and respectful of each family's needs and preferences - Individualized to meet the needs of each child and family.

Works with government and law enforcement agencies, media professionals, and the academic community, to present accurate information about Islam and Muslims. Offers informal sensitivity and diversity training to employers, educators, and organizations, highlighting Islamic practices and offering suggestions for religious accommodations. Also provides a series of printed guides to Islamic practices for specific types of agencies such as correctional facilities, hospitals, and schools. Provides speakers for organizations who wish to be informed about Islam and Muslims in America.

Provides participants with a structured day of activities in a safe environment; breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided; for persons with Alzheimer's, a related disorder, or frail elderly. Transportation available.

Provides health & safety training for the workplace, church, school or civic group and individuals. Topics included CPR, AED (defibrillator), first aid as well as blood borne pathogens, ergonomics, workplace violence and managing stress. Choose from pre-scheduled classed or groups of 8 or more schedule their own time.

Ten-month program will develop informed and committed leaders by providing participants with an understanding of the critical issues affecting the community. Leadership and stewardship capabilities will be developed to assist in resolving these issues with an emphasis on Knowledge, Skills Enhancement & Trusteeship. Community service is encouraged and contact information is provided.

American Disabilities Act (ADA) Contract and Consulting Starting January 2020: Offers training and technical assistance throughout Ohio on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Assists with ADA surveys, provides assessments and will help with the development and implementation of transition/compliance plans.

Provides recreational, physical fitness, arts, and structured educational programming for residents, using neighborhood school facilities. Programs may include use of gymnasium, swimming pool, track, instruction in sports, arts and crafts, games, and drill teams. Computer classes are available at one site, and computers are available to use at two sites. Participants typically help to determine programming for each site. Programs are often staffed by school personnel.

Scattered site apartments monitored by program coordinator and assistant coordinator. Youth are provided with supervision and life skill development to enhance their awareness and familiarization of budgeting, credit card awareness, lease agreements, employment interviewing, career goal setting, diet and food preparation, home management, and other important and related skills.

Provides early childhood development programs to children ages birth to five from income eligible (low-income) families. Children attend early childhood centers as well as learn about computers, art, science, music, and more. Home-based services are also available as an alternative to center-based services.

Provides a program designed to help foster youth become self-sufficient adults. Youth learn the necessary skills to live on their own, such as financial management, career/educational planning, tax preparation, budgeting, preparation for college, and other life skills.

Offers annual ten-week educational program to train neighborhood leaders; participants are selected through an application process. for city of dayton residents only.

Offers group mentoring for elementary school students. Participants receive instruction in leadership, science, technology, reading, art, and math, prevention and wellness (such as: alcohol and other drug education, character education, health and nutrition), and service learning.

Introduces class members to challenges and opportunities unique to Geauga County. Participants gain personal access to community leaders, behind the scenes site tours, and in-depth discussions while gaining a deeper understanding of Geauga County. Class members expand their personal contacts and leverage these into a network of like-minded leaders. The Heritage Program inspires retirees and adults approaching retirement to reconnect to their community, encouraging their personal action to be part of the positive solution to some of Geauga County’s challenges. Each person’s overall experience is enhanced by the identification and achievement of personal goals in conjunction with individual efforts supporting the greater good of the county.

Supports families after initial crisis is over. The Counseling Program provides youth and families with a counselor who will work with families to help them find common ground and make long term changes. Also provides community based and family centered services that meet with youth at home, in school or at another mental health facility.

Provides marriage preparation, marriage support, parenting, family ministry, natural family planning, ministry to divorced and separated Catholics, family violence, older adult ministry, and bereavement. Trains mentoring couples in marriage preparation and teachers of natural family planning. Conducts marriage education workshops for clergy and volunteers. Sponsors bereavement support groups. Makes available literature to assist separated and divorced Catholics, those concerned with domestic/family violence, and the bereaved. Facilitates professional referrals for these populations.

Provides programming from a Chabad - Chassidic philosophy to assist family members, couples, and individuals to understand preparation for marriage, home maintenance traditions, sexual relations, child development and money management. Rabbis provide one-to-one, couples, or family counseling on a variety of problem areas.
