Help Me Grow Home Visiting | Washington County Family And Children First Council

Help Me Grow Home Visiting is Ohio's program for expectant parents, newborns, infants and toddlers. The program provides health and developmental services so that children start school healthy and ready to learn. Help Me Grow works with parents to support young children's development. Home Visitors provide on-going home visits in the home; focus on improving prenatal health habits and infant care giving skills; provide information on child's health, growth, education and development through the Parents As Teachers program; provide screenings for health, hearing, vision and development; connect families with community resources and services. Affiliated with the evidence-based home visiting model Parents As Teachers. Services include - Developmental Screening - Information on parenting tips - Assistance in developing and reaching family goals - Home Visits to help each child stay "on the road" to healthy growth and development - Service Coordination - professional nurses, teachers, or other qualified staff who share their knowledge about available resources, assist families in connecting with needed services, coordinate services to help families meet their needs and goals. Help Me Grow is - Family-friendly and family centered - Supportive and respectful of each family's needs and preferences - Individualized to meet the needs of each child and family.

Education About Islam | Council On American-Islamic Relations - Ohio

Works with government and law enforcement agencies, media professionals, and the academic community, to present accurate information about Islam and Muslims. Offers informal sensitivity and diversity training to employers, educators, and organizations, highlighting Islamic practices and offering suggestions for religious accommodations. Also provides a series of printed guides to Islamic practices for specific types of agencies such as correctional facilities, hospitals, and schools. Provides speakers for organizations who wish to be informed about Islam and Muslims in America.

Ten-month program will develop informed and committed leaders by providing participants with an understanding of the critical issues affecting the community. Scattered site apartments monitored by program coordinator and assistant coordinator. Heritage Program For Retirees | Leadership Geauga County

Introduces class members to challenges and opportunities unique to Geauga County. Participants gain personal access to community leaders, behind the scenes site tours, and in-depth discussions while gaining a deeper understanding of Geauga County. Class members expand their personal contacts and leverage these into a network of like-minded leaders. The Heritage Program inspires retirees and adults approaching retirement to reconnect to their community, encouraging their personal action to be part of the positive solution to some of Geauga County’s challenges. Each person’s overall experience is enhanced by the identification and achievement of personal goals in conjunction with individual efforts supporting the greater good of the county.
