Foundations offers support groups for those needing emotional or behavioral support, whose lives have been interrupted by addictive or mental illness. A wide variety topics are discussed.

Equitas Health offers support groups for HIV/AIDS, Women's Support Group, Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Skills Group, Living in Balance (Harm-reduction AoD group).

Provides a free, peer-led support group for any adult who has experienced symptoms of a mental health condition. You will gain insight from hearing the challenges and successes of others, and the groups are led by trained leaders who've been there. Follows a structured model to ensure you and others in the group have an opportunity to be heard and to get what you need. Groups are led by individuals with mental health conditions. No specific medical therapy or treatment is endorsed.

All members are encouraged to participate in groups of their choice to promote recovery.

Provides a team approach to outpatient management of schizophrenia that involves extensive patient education on the condition, diagnosis, medication management, support, and group and individual counseling. Service includes dealing with substance abuse issues. Groups are occasionally offered for family members. Medication education, monitoring, counseling, and treatment available for those taking the medication Clozaril.

Central Ohio GOALS (Giving those with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Another Lifestyle) for OCD is a peer-support group facilitated by Dr. Beth McCreary. The GOALS model for support groups addressing OCD started in Philadelphia in 1981 by Jonathan Grayson and Gayle Frankel. Each meeting includes time for each attendee to share, if they wish, about their own symptoms and struggles. The intent is for everyone to leave with a sense of connection and—ideally—some new coping strategies.

Offers mutual support groups whose members are individuals who had difficulty dealing with the pressures of everyday life and were living with unresolved emotional issues such as depression, anger, broken or strained relationships, low self-esteem, fear, anxiety, resentment, jealousy, guilt, boredom, loneliness, or other destructive feelings. Provides a structured atmosphere in which participants can share their experience, strengths, hopes, and recovery. Provides local community meetings held throughout Northeast Ohio as well as online chat, virtual, and telephone support group meeting options.

Provides a fellowship of individuals who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from a gambling problem.

8 week group. This group is designed to help men and women develop and implement more effective ways to reduce their anxiety. Topics covered will be stress management, relaxation techniques, body awareness, assertiveness training, and challenging our negative belief systems.

Outpatient groups address various treatment areas for children 5-17 years old. Incentives are offered for attendance and participation and dinner or snacks are provided in many groups. Groups include Anger Management, AOD (alcohol or drugs), AOD Residential Aftercare, Caregiver / Parent Support, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) for Youth & Caregivers, Girls Empowerment Group for Survivors of Trauma for Youth & Caregivers, Lasting Solutions for Everyday Problems (Family Conflict & Problem Solving), LGBTQ, Managing Feelings & Making Friends and Teen Social Skills.

Provides pediactic, adolescent, adult and geriatic counseling

Main Place staff is made up of individuals who have overcome the impact that mental challenges had on their lives. Through Peer Support Groups, they can: 1.Share their wisdom, knowledge and experience in recovery; 2.Make you aware of choices you have and assist in implementing your own personal plan of recovery; 3.Link you to resources beyond the mental health system; 4.Help you master the skills necessary to recover; and 5.Provide comfort and support along the journey. Support groups are available on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: Addiction, Anxiety, Bi-polar, Depression, PTSD, Schizophrenia, Men's groups, Women's groups, Wellness and Recovery and more.

Mental health and alcohol/drug treatment support groups are available on a variety of topics. Groups can change frequently and different topics may be offered so call first to see what is available.

Recovery-focused support groups and activities for mental health or substance abuse. Programming is designed and provided by staff with assistance from the participants of Pathways. Calendar of events and newsletter are distributed monthly. Once a month, participants prepare and share a meal together and celebrate birthdays. Twice a month there is food and fellowship (faith-based) on Friday. The group also meets in Loudonville the 3rd Friday of each month from 10a-3p at the rectory of St. Peter Catholic Church. Provides a free, eight-session educational program for adults with mental health conditions who are looking to better understand themselves and their recovery. Taught by trained leaders with lived experience, this program includes activities, discussions and informative videos.

Families In Touch has been helping families and friends of adults with mental illness since 1978. In a confidential group setting, participants are encouraged to share their experiences and learn about local mental health and recovery resources. Participants include friends, parents, spouses, adult children or adult siblings of older teens and adults who have been diagnosed with a mental illness. These illnesses include major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, etc. The groups are facilitated by mental health professionals who are experienced in dealing with the specific concerns of family members.
