The Licking County Wellness Coalition and Tobacco Use Reduction Network (TURN) work toward system and policy changes to reduce tobacco use. • LCHD works with Our Futures Licking County to conduct "Reward and Reminder" tobacco sales compliance checks at tobacco retailers. • Our health educators work with schools to adopt 100% Tobacco-Free School policies. • We promote smoke-free multi-unit housing policies in apartment buildings. • Tobacco-Free Worksite Campus policies improve employee wellness and visitor comfort. • Kickin' Ash Splash Pool Party, and annual tobacco, drug, and alcohol-free event for the whole family hosted at the Heath City Water Park. Offers automated texts to provide encouragement, advice, and tips to help smokers quit smoking, vaping, or using tobacco.

Provides a coaching program for people who want to quit using tobacco. Trained counselors guide and support the client throughout the quitting process using phone calls, text messages, and a quit plan maintained through a phone app and/or web site. Eligible, enrolled clients receive a free, four-week supply of nicotine replacements (in the form of patches, gum, or lozenges). If the caller has insurance, and it is a company that is working with (funding) the quit line, they may be able to receive up to an 8 week supply.

Provide nutrition education and supplemental food for women, infants and children who are determined to be a nutritional risk. Provides supplemental foods such as milk, eggs, cheese, fruit juices, etc. at no cost to participants.

Services include primary medical care, preventative health programs, social work services, care coordination for families with children ages 0-3, smoking cessation programs and classroom health education presentations.

A Community Health Worker meets 16 times with the client (4 prenatal and 12 postpartum). Each session involves support education and testing to verify continued abstention from tobacco. Program is designed to give women incentives to stop using tobacco during and after pregnancy by providing diapers to those who remain tobacco-free during pregnancy and the first year of their child's life. Provides baby diapers for eligible women. Those who remain tobacco-free will receive 14 $25 vouchers to use for diapers for one year from participation.

Program helps smokers improve overall health, reduce the smell of smoke on clothes, hair, breath, car and home, doing simple tasks without running out of breath, having fewer facial wrinkles, saving money, increasing life expectancy to be around longer for family and friends, and being in control of your life. Offers 4 to 8 weeks of tobacco cessation counseling with nicotine replacement products.

Provides coaching and, in some cases, supplies to help members end their dependence on tobacco products.

Provide a range of mental health services including individual counseling, substance abuse treatment and groups, Peer Recovery Support, therapeutic behavioral services, case management, crisis intervention and sex offender services.
