Take-Back Days: These occur twice a year and locations are offered in Marietta and surrounding communities. Enables the safe disposal of unwanted and expired prescription and over the counter medications. Pills should be removed from bottles and placed in baggies. This is a great opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft. *Acceptable items for disposal are: Prescription drugs, Over-the-counter medications , Pet medications, Vitamins , Ointments, creams or lotions , Liquid medications, cough syrups . *Items NOT accepted include: Liquids, injectables and inhalers.

Accepts and provides proper disposal of oil-based paints, fluorescent bulbs, propane tanks, batteries, and hazardous household chemicals such as: gasoline, engine fluids (antifreeze, brake fluid, etc.), oils, stains, mercury, photo chemicals, dry cleaning fluids, wood preservatives, strippers, solvents, paint thinner, sealant, degreasers, wood stains, arsenic, herbicides, pesticides, rodent killers, insect sprays, pool chemicals, creosote, fertilizer, ammonia, bleaches, disinfectants, and other caustic household cleaners. Does not accept explosives, acetylene tanks, or medical waste. Staff unloads all materials from vehicles.
