The Public Works Department includes the Forestry Division, Street Maintenance Division, and Traffic Control. The Utilities Department includes Sewer Maintenance Division, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Distribution Division, and the Water Treatment Plant. Services provided are snow removal, street sweeping, leaf pickup, removal of dead animals (in the street), pothole repair, tree planting and removal (area between curb and sidewalk only), street lights and street signs, and catch basin clean outs.

Provides water services to the City of Greenville. Offers customer assistance with securing and maintaining water service, billing concerns, payment arrangements, and other necessary services. Tap water testing of individual residences is usually limited to testing for chlorine content.

Sanitarians inspect private water hauling equipment and test drinking water for harmful bacteria. Sanitarians also cooperate with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency in the review of the installation of commercial water supply systems.

Operates a water system serves approximately 55,000 people, which includes residents of Cuyahoga Falls, Munroe Falls, and Silver Lake.
