Provides information and resources regarding discrimination related to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, and HIV status. Selects cases that will have the greatest impact in protecting and advancing the rights of LGBTQ people and those with HIV. While Lambda Legal is not able to take every case, the Help Desk can discuss legal issues and can provide useful information. This assistance may include follow-up discussions with Lambda Legal attorneys or contact information for an attorney or for other organizations that may directly assist.
Provides support services from pediatric pulmonologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitian, and social worker to CF outpatients at Cystic Fibrosis Center at ProMedica Toledo Children's Hospital/ProMedica Toledo Hospital; services include assessments, treatment, nutrition counseling, respiratory therapy training and evaluation, counseling, family support services, telephone support, home visits and school visits.

Professional educators provide community programs and screenings to promote health and wellness. Programs include Women in Touch, Healthier at Home, Resource Mothers, Fatherhood Support, Centering Pregnancy, Hispanic Health, Stepping Out, Prescription Assistance and community health events for men and women. Screenings include blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, osteoporosis, body fat, balance, and carbon monoxide.

Provide Pack N Play portable cribs and Safe Sleep Survival Kits to families and caregivers that are unable to provide a safe sleep environment due to financial hardship. Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

Provides numbers on locations of tests, cases, and deaths from the virus known as COVID 19 in facilities where residents are congregated. Counts are available regarding information from state prisons (including youth detention facilities), state owned and operated psychiatric hospitals and residential addiction services, state operated group homes for those with developmental disabilities, and private and state-run skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities.
Provides free one-on-one support to adult cancer patients and their loved ones. Trained volunteers are at least one year post-treatment or successfully undergoing maintenance therapies. Offer support from diagnosis, through treatment and into recovery.
