Hispanic Health program designed to help the Hispanic community have access to medical care, social services and health education. Provide blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Health Liaison serves as the link between the Hispanic community and health services. Assistance given to clients in Spanish with appointments and interpretations. The Promotora (community health liaison) teaches basic health education topics in Spanish.

Offers a mutual support group whose members are individuals who have AIDS/HIV. Serves a meal and provides an opportunity for participants to share information, practical tips for daily living and encouragement. Periodic outings (such as bowling, picnic, movies, and so forth) are held.

Offers free individualized sessions with a Holistic Nutrition and Natural Health Practitioner to discuss healthy alternatives after recovery, food preparation, meal planning, and any other concerns towards maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Provides public education on arthritis and related issues.

Provides peer support for Breast Cancer patients.

Provides the latest federally approved information on HIV/AIDS, clinical research, treatment and prevention, and medical practice guidelines for people living with HIV/AIDS, their families and friends, health care providers, scientists and researchers.

Provides educational programs and literature, screening mammograms to qualifying women, and 24 hour information through website and national hotline. Offers support groups and smoking cessation programs for businesses and youth.

Our medical providers offer Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) services to patients to reduce the likelihood of contracting HIV. Our providers are also trained in providing Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) an emergency-based treatment for the prevention of HIV after possible exposure has occurred. Offers in-home enviromental and medical assessments of homes to protect against health hazards. Program focus is on mold and other asthma triggers. Licensed santarians and nurses are available for consultation. Also families that have children with asthma may qualify for grants to make necessary modifications to negate dangers.

Offers an urgent care for treating patients age five (5) and older with joint, muscle, and bone-related injuries or conditions. Treats a full range of orthopedic and sports medicine injuries on a walk-in basis, including aches, breaks, pains, and strains. NOTE: For a broken bone where the bone has broken through the skin, go immediately to a hospital emergency room.

Offers Reiki and Reflexology for individuals diagnosed with cancer or their loved ones.

Provides workshops for youth, individual and family support for families impacted by cancer with minor children. Offers a support program utilizing art therapy, play therapy and discussion. Provides an opportunity for families to interact with other families in similar situations.

Provides various forms of relaxation and stress reduction activities such as yoga, tai chi, reiki and reflexology to help those dealing with cancer cope with the physical and mental stress of cancer. Childcare available with advance notice. Services provided for the individual diagnosed and family/caregiver.

Provides local information related to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Provides education programs, support groups, one on one mentoring programs and events related to Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis.

Provides assistance for non-medical expenses including rent, mortgage, lodging, utilities, childcare, elder care, food, transportation, car repair, car insurance, phone service, and acute dental work related to treatment. Eligible patients will receive a grant of $500, once within a 12 month period. At the end of the 12 month period, healthcare professionals can reapply on behalf of patients.

Provides electricity to power life-sustaining equipment, such as a respirator or dialysis machine. Disconnection can be delayed by 30 days by completing a medical certification form.

Provides safe secure drop-in center for women of trauma to receive the tools to grow from survivor of human trafficking, domestic violence and substance use to be a thriver. Provides case management, assist to receive documents and network with agencies, Does not provide health/disability related support groups, just human trafficking, domestic violence and substance use and bible studies.

Connects patients to various resources including financial assistance, transportation, support groups, wigs, prosthetics, and anything else the patient may need. Also connects individuals who are looking for various cancer screening programs in the area including breast, skin, and prostate.

Can aid in costs such as transportation to and from cancer treatment, home care, child care, pain medication and lymphedema supplies for breast cancer patients and copays for treatment. Financial assistance does not cover basic living expenses such as rent, mortgages, utility payments, or food.

Provides reimbursement for some expenses incurred by Darke County residents who have a confirmed cancer diagnosis. Reimbursement of 25 cents/mile (up to $200) per month may be provided for mileage to and from cancer-related appointments (not including trips to the pharmacy), up to $100/month for prescription expense assistance, and up to $75/month for assistance with the purchase of medical supplies. Program participants are eligible for services up to 5 years unless in active treatment. Does not cover basic living expenses such as rent, mortgages, utility payments or food. Executive Director determines whether mileage is to be reimbursed as it links to the cancer diagnosis.
