Includes a three-part series including diabetes education, demonstrations and tasting of healthy foods. Follow up meetings held to discuss progress since the initial class. This is provided by the OSU Extension office.

Overnight camp, Sunday through Saturday, for children ages 7-17 with diabetes; Counselor Training program runs simultaneously for young adults aged 18-21; this is a medically supervised cabin camping experience including swimming, arts & crafts, meals defined and prepared by dieticians and student intern dieticians; volunteer pediatric endocrinologists and nurses on site for the full duration of camp.
Healthy U Chronic disease and Diabetes Class is a small group workshop that is designed to help older adults put life back in their life. Healthy U may be for you if you have long term challenges with chronic disease or diabetes or are a caregiver for someone with this challenge. A benefit of participating in Healthy U is the support you will receive finding practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and depression. This 'free' class, which meets once a week for 6 weeks, will help you discover ways to be more physically active, find out how to eat healthier and practice ways to relax and deal with stress. Each workshop is facilitated by a pair of leaders, one or both of whom are non-health professionals with a chronic disease themselves.

Provides advocacy for health fairs - The American Diabetes Association publishes materials for the general public, as well as, medical professionals. Booths are set-up at public fairs. Books, literature, slides, video, and trained speakers are available. In-Service Training - Offers free training to health professionals, schools, organizations, and corporations. Topics include emergency procedures, diet, nutrition, exercise, complications, and general detection.
The Clark Champaign Diabetes Association in conjunction with the Clark County Combined Health District provides a Diabetic Support group.

Connects families and caregivers of children with type I diabetes, as well as individuals with the disease, to others facing similar life circumstances. Trained mentors answer non-medical questions, share personal experiences, and lend specialized support.
Offers a nutritional educational program for individuals at risk of developing diabetes. A trained lifestyle coach will introduce topics in a small classroom setting and encourage participants as to explore how healthy eating, physical activity and behavior changes can benefit their health.

Provides a series of classes in 25 sessions that show participants how to prevent and/or manage diabetes and pre-diabetes. enable adults to make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The program is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance, and other national organizations. Topics covered include nutrition, getting started with physical activity, overcoming stress, and staying motivated.

Provides an emergency diabetes supply assistance for individuals who are diagnosed diabetic. Clients can receive one month's worth of supplies (glucometers, strips, syringes, etc.) one time in a 12 month period. Do not provide insulin.

Provides all types of insulin and a 30-day supply of lancets and/or syringes for monitoring blood sugar levels. Also can provide pen needles for pre-loaded diabetic pens as well as as the pens. Type and amount of supplies available varies. Will work with clients to access other patient assistance programs.
