Service includes assistance from registered dieticians, who are also diabetes educators, and who can teach meal planning, diet modification, and weight control. Also provides a support group for those suffering from diabetes.

Services include inpatient teaching, outpatient individual and group sessions, phone consultation, support groups, and classes on topics such as acute and chronic complications, insulin and oral hypoglycemia medicine, testing methods, diet, personal hygiene, exercise, and psychosocial adjustment.

Traditionally has provided funding for active support group participants with diabetes to attend diabetic camp. Meets at the patient education classroom at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.

Provides a diabetes education program offering information about different aspects of living with diabetes such as eating, planning meals and using insulin. Offers program in a group format for adults and individual instruction for adults and youth.

Connects families and caregivers of children with type I diabetes, as well as individuals with the disease, to others facing similar life circumstances. Trained mentors answer non-medical questions, share personal experiences, and lend specialized support.

Provides a program that gives information and support to families with children who are newly-diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes; the bag contains relevant diabetes education materials for children and their caregivers.

Type and amount of supplies available varies. Will work with clients to access other patient assistance programs.
