Provides benefits screening and forms assistance for several government assistance programs (Food Stamps (SNAP), Medicaid, etc.). NOTE: does not help with unemployment. Provides particular focus on signing households up for food stamps (SNAP/Food Assistance). Trained phone staff takes information from the client in order to fill out applications for many programs at once. Applications can be completed and submitted over the phone. Also provides food pantry referrals to the agency's food partner sites in its 5-county service area. Also helps families sign up for the Senior Commodity Box Program.

Provides troop activities for girls related to specific areas of interest, with focus on the following areas: S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Outdoor Education, Life Skills, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurship. Offers different levels of scouting for different ages, including Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior and Ambassador. Troops are also available for girls with disabilities, school troops, and girls who are residents of public housing.

Provides a variety of structured, supervised overnight summer camping programs that feature recreational and educational activities such as swimming, boating, horseback riding, arts and crafts, natural science and wilderness survival.

Provides temporary and permanent placards that enable drivers who qualify to park in designated parking slots. Also issues motor vehicle license plates with disabilities insignia.

Offers bus and rapid transit services providing downtown trolleys service, rail service, and Park-N-Ride lots. Regular and discount bus passes and farecards are available. Daily Pass, 7-day, and monthly passes are available. 5- ride also available. Provides free rides on election day.

Provides reimbursement for assistance with daily living activities to individuals with disabilities so they can work, seek employment, or attend school or job training. Will provide reimbursement of up to $8 per hour for up to 35 hours of assistance per week. Covers services that assist with personal needs such as eating, dressing, bathing, housework, shopping and meal preparation. Provides training to participants in recruiting, hiring and managing an assistant, as well as in employer tax responsibilities. Client must be able to handle paperwork.

Provides case management and coordination of needed home care services in the following areas: medical transportation, emergency response system, personal care, homemaker services, home delivered meals, and chore services, including laundry service. Services can be requested individually or combined. Can provide limited home bathroom modifications for safety. Does not include skilled nursing services. When program is full, assists those on waiting list to find needed services in the community. Chore services and limited bathroom modifications cannot be assessed without using other services.

Provides services for clients to find gainful employment or training. Specific services include: counseling and planning, personal and work adjustment training, vocational training, training supplies and books, financial aid to attend post-secondary classes, artificial limbs, braces, eyeglasses, hearing aids, psychotherapy, physical therapy, wheelchairs (if needed to work), occupational supplies, placement, small business development, and follow-up on the job. Also helps disabled students who are transitioning from school to work or college after high school. Some of the above services are provided by other agencies through a referral process.

Provides home repair grants of up to $2,500 and free exterior paint to help residents correct exterior housing code violations. Homeowner must match 10% of the repair costs. Program does not offer any emergency funds.

Operates accessible and subsidized apartment housing for people with physical (mobility) disabilities. Apartments have one or two bedrooms.
