Donnellan Shelter Transitional Housing | Miami Valley Community Action Partnership - The Donnellan Shelters

The program will serve homeless families in Greene County. Families may stay up to 6 months. Case management is provided weekly. Current program follows Family and Children First practices.

During the summer also provides a one-time $30 supplemental voucher to a limited number of participants for fruits and vegetables from selected local growers (Farmers' Market Nutrition Program), available while supplies last. Also offers speakers who discuss the program and the value of good nutrition.

Family Ties Parent And Youth Program | Adoption Network Cleveland

Provides a program that meet the needs of the family and focuses on their strengths. Parents discover the tools, knowledge and support system they need to successfully parent their child(ren). Goal is for children to build the confidence to develop healthy habits. Program includes one-on-one support, monthly parent and teen groups, educational opportunities, peer network building, normalizing family social activities, information and referral and personal advocacy.

Substance Abuse - Residential Treatment - Women | Hitchcock Center For Women

Operates a residential treatment program for women who have substance use disorders. Services for residents include: individual and group substance use counseling, on-site support groups, career planning, education, aftercare, family and children's services, and follow-up. Women with children and women who are pregnant are welcome at the facility. May provide bus tickets or Uber Health for enrolled clients, if necessary.

Juvenile Court Family Resource Center (FRC) | Summit County Juvenile Court

Develops partnerships with parents, guardians, and youth in order to strengthen the family unit by providing case management and supportive services. The goal is to help youth succeed in school and develop life skills with help from the family. The Family Resource Center also aids families that are dealing with issues such as domestic violence, truancy, teen pregnancy/parenting, job readiness, and youth who are demonstrating at-risk behaviors.

Offers a free five week discussion group on stepfamilies to military members and their families. Topics include: understanding the pitfalls and potentials of stepfamily living, strengthening the couple's relationship, and the stepchild's dilemma.

Permits children to reside with mother. - Designed to be longer-term housing of up to one year after a possible stay in secure shelter. - Housing is subsidized by The Portage Metropolitan Housing Authority and is located at an apartment building in Kent. - There are 11 units with two (2) bedrooms each. - Will help clients seeking stable housing with acquiring household items and furniture.
