Provides navigation and referral services for youth and young adults who are or have been involved in the foster care system. Assists with accessing resources such as emergency housing, employment, scholarships, and so forth. Provides Flex Funds financial assistance to young adults who have transitioned out of foster care.

Provides a manufacturing/precision machining course, that includes training and 100 hours of a paid internship. Internship may lead to permanent employment.

Provides one-to-one mentoring services to young people in permanent custody of the Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Will match mentors and mentees according to preferences and common interests, along with providing supervision, training and support.

Provides short term overnight respite care (1-2 days) for foster parents who need a short reprieve from the youth placed within their care.

Specialized foster care clinic that offers comprehensive healthcare services to children and adolescents placed in out-of-home care.

Maintains a hotline on which licensed social workers receive reports of the abuse or neglect of children. Basic information is obtained, the need for immediate intervention is assessed, and an investigation process is begun on the case. Investigators assess the level of risk facing the child, and refer children and their families to those who can provide services which will reduce the risk. Removes children who are at serious risk of harm and cannot remain at home. After investigation, those who need continuing services will be transferred to the Direct Services Dept. which will assign a social worker to the case and work to help family resolve the issues behind the abuse or neglect. There is also an Independent Living Program for youth in the custody of CCCFS who are becoming emancipated or who are leaving long-term foster/institutional care. Unit can also provide approval of health care services for youth in custody who have been placed out of the county. Agency also maintains a unit to take complaints about its services. In addition, the hotline receives calls from parents or caregivers who are experiencing difficulties and/or beginning to lose control with a child, and who need someone to talk to. These callers can also be referred to appropriate counseling services.

Provides a clothing bank and toys, books, grooming supplies, diapers, baby furniture, shoes, and other goods for foster children and their families. Serves foster families, Youth in Transition, recently adopted children, and reunified biological families. Eligible families may obtain items up to four times per year. Assistance is customized to the needs of the child.

Provides a program is designed to help foster youth become self-sufficient adults. Youth learn the necessary skills to live on their own, such as financial management, career/educational planning, tax preparation, budgeting, preparation for college, and other life skills.

Provides duffel bag containing complete outfits, socks, underwear/diapers, shoes, toothbrush, toothpaste and hair care products for children who have been impacted by foster care. Other items and support may be available.

Provides short-term care in order to prevent disruption of children from their birth, foster and adoptive homes.

Provides a program to help young parents deal with their dual role as adolescent and parent. Parenting classes, life skills education, and case management (to link the client to appropriate community services) are provided.

Provides behavioral and mental health services including, comprehensive assessment services, individual therapy, group therapy, pharmacological management, mental health case management, crisis intervention and/or support, and psychological testing.
