The Community Safe Senior Project is a collaborative effort between Licking County Aging Partners (LCAP), the Red Cross, the State Fire Marshal’s Fire Safety Educators, and local fire departments. This initiative raises awareness about home safety hazards and provides proactive solutions to prevent emergencies. Services offered include: Smoke Detector Installation, Home Safety Visits and Fire Escape Route Planning.

Administers driver testing, issues licenses, and processes renewals. Issues Temporary Instruction Permit Identification Cards (TIPIC) for individuals learning to operate automobiles, motorcycles, or commercial vehicles. Provides duplicate licenses for lost or misplaced documents and updates licenses following a change of address. Offers compliant (REAL ID) licenses for air travel and standard licenses, which are not accepted for domestic air travel as of May 7, 2025. Licenses are valid for eight years and expire on the holder’s birthday.
