7-1-1 is assigned nationwide for access to Telecom Relay Services (TRS). TRS allows persons with a hearing or speech disability to use the telephone. These consumers use special telephone devices known as a text telephone (TTY) or a telecommunications device for the deaf (TDD). If you want to call someone who uses a TTY/TDD, pick up your phone, dial 7-1-1, and you will be automatically connected to the TRS operator. The operator will connect you to the TTY/TTD user and read aloud the text typed by the TTY/TDD user. When a TTY/TDD user dials 7-1-1, an operator places the call to the voice user, and then relays the conversation by transcribing spoken content for the TTY user and reading text aloud for the voice user. If in an emergency situation, call 9-1-1 and they will connect caller to 7-1-1 services.

Provides peer support where individuals with any disabilities share their experiences and guidance. The group also brain storms solutions and advocates for changes needed to improve the lives of all persons with disabilities.

Provides van transportation to shopping, church, medical appointments and other locations. Clients that are non-ambulatory will be transported via a regulated ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) vehicles or through an ambulance service.

Provides financial assistance to low-income active United States military personnel (all branches of service) currently deployed overseas and to low-income post 9/11 Veterans with a wound, illness, or injury received in the line of duty (LOD). Accepted reasons for financial assistance include mortgage assistance, rent assistance, home repairs, utility assistance, auto payments, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items (appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove), medical expense assistance, emergency dental assistance, critical baby items, and other financial assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for food and vision care (for dependents) to active duty service member with rank of rank E1-E6 with DEERS-eligible dependents. Note: Does NOT provide financial assistance for credit card debt or personal loans and does NOT assist with down payments for vehicles or homes.

On-the-job training and employment program that assists older adults with updating their job skills and building work experience. Participants also have access to employment assistant through American Job Centers.

HelpLink 211 Dayton

Volunteer program of the Trumbull County Probate Court. Provide advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, visit in a nursing home or visit at home. Involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs, and Make a Difference day projects. All volunteers are qualified, trained, have references, undergo background check, and have signed letter of confidentiality.

Pediatric Care offers:

• Well-Child Visits
• Regular check-ups allow providers to monitor growth, nutrition, physical activity, developmental milestones, and emotional health.
• Sick Visits - Timely care is available for common childhood illnesses, minor injuries, and other health

concerns.

• Immunizations - The medical provider can ensure children are up to date on Ohio-required vaccines, including

DTaP/Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Polio, and Varicella. Families can also catch up on missed doses with personalized schedules. Parents or guardians must accompany their children to all appointments.

211 Pathways

Provides demonstrations of the use of fire extinguishers, presentations on fire prevention in the home, home checks for fire hazards, and general talks on fire safety. Speakers explain the importance of escape plans, smoke detectors, "stop-drop-roll." Programs include Juvenile Fire Setters, Safety City and Safety Town. Also provides smoke detectors, battery checks for smoke detectors and battery changes.

Offers an opportunity to experience over 100 juried artists from around the county. Offering a chance to shop for pieces at an open air market.

Provides information and referral for residents of Gallia and Meigs counties.

Provides academic counseling, college entrance assistance and support, career counseling, job placement services, and pre-job guidance such as assistance with resume writing and interviewing. Offers supportive services to disabled students.
