The United Way Logan County provides emergency financial assistance for rent to Logan County residents. The funds are paid directly to the landlord to avoid eviction. Other resources must be accessed first.
Emergency assistance with rent may be provided to veterans discharged under honorable conditions in a time of need. When a veteran is requesting assistance the emergency support eligibility must be determined with the required documents according to the ESR (Emergency Soldier's Relief) policy.
Offers rent assistance to human trafficking survivors.
The BW Ministerial Association assists with very limited rent payment assistance as funding is available. Must live within parish boundaries: North of Fancher Rd, West of St Rt 605, East of I71, South of Centerburg.
May be able to financially assist their clients and their families with needs relating to rent payment assistance.
Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for emergency services related to establishing a household after the family has suffered a disaster. MAY BE USED FOR: rent payment and/or security deposit ($750 maximum), stoves and refrigerators (maximum $200); baby furniture; children's beds/mattresses (maximum $250), and children's clothing (up to $150 per child); replacement of adult clothing due to fire or flood (up to $225); general furniture (couch, table, etc. - up to $400). MAY NOT BE USED FOR: entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), washers or dryers (unless it is essential for an applicant's employment or needed due to a disability), mortgage payments. YEARLY CASH LIMITS: $1,500 total during the calendar year (may be $750 for certain non-custodial parents).
