The United Way Logan County provides emergency financial assistance for rent to Logan County residents. The funds are paid directly to the landlord to avoid eviction. Other resources must be accessed first.

Emergency assistance with rent may be provided to veterans discharged under honorable conditions in a time of need. When a veteran is requesting assistance the emergency support eligibility must be determined with the required documents according to the ESR (Emergency Soldier's Relief) policy.

Offers rent assistance to human trafficking survivors.

The BW Ministerial Association assists with very limited rent payment assistance as funding is available. Must live within parish boundaries: North of Fancher Rd, West of St Rt 605, East of I71, South of Centerburg.

May be able to financially assist their clients and their families with needs relating to rent payment assistance.

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for emergency services related to establishing a household after the family has suffered a disaster. MAY BE USED FOR: rent payment and/or security deposit ($750 maximum), stoves and refrigerators (maximum $200); baby furniture; children's beds/mattresses (maximum $250), and children's clothing (up to $150 per child); replacement of adult clothing due to fire or flood (up to $225); general furniture (couch, table, etc. - up to $400). MAY NOT BE USED FOR: entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), washers or dryers (unless it is essential for an applicant's employment or needed due to a disability), mortgage payments. YEARLY CASH LIMITS: $1,500 total during the calendar year (may be $750 for certain non-custodial parents).

Offers limited financial assistance to residents of the City of Parma who are facing financial hardship due to unforseen circumstances such as an accident, illness, disability, or death. Must experience a sudden loss of income. Will provide assistance for up to three months to help prevent eviction, foreclosure, or disconnection of utilities (gas, water, sewer, or electric).

Friends Serving Friends assists with rent on a case by case basis.

Provides prescription and financial (rent, utilites, chldcare) assistance.

Provides supportive services for veterans and their families. Veteran must bring DD214 and complete initial screening application to determine eligibility. Funding for these services comes from the Department of Veteran Affairs.

Provides temporary, emergency financial assistance. It is not a long term assistance program and it is not a subsidy program. Applicants who are eligible for long term assistance programs administered by other agencies will be required to apply for those assistance programs.

Volunteers refer individuals who need assistance to appropriate agencies. Help facilitate short term financial assistance for housing, utilities and other basic needs.

Emergency financial assistance for rent/mortgage, utility (gas, water, electric, fuel oil), prescription needs. Does NOT pay for gasoline vouchers.

May be able to match individuals and families with rent assistance programs available in their area or refer to other programs.

Helps to prevent the removal of a child from home or to facilitate the return of a child to home. Also assists grandparents or other kin in taking care of their grandchildren or other kin whose parents are unable to care for them. * Furniture assistance restricted to beds only. * Rental deposit assistance restricted to Metro deposits only.

Offers temporary emergency financial assistance. Helps obtain Veteran related benefits.

Mandated to investigate reports of abuse, neglect or exploitation of senior citizens age 60 and above.

Provide Mahoning County residents that qualify with a stove, refrigerator, washer, dryer, bedding, and/or a crib. Services beginning April 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022.

Homeless Outreach and Case Management, Rapid Re-housing, Emergency Assistance/Basic Needs, First Step Pregnancy Support, Limited transportation for Seniors, Social Work Counseling, HUD housing counseling including Foreclosure Prevention and Pre-purchase education, SSI/SSDI/SOAR Specialist, Prison Re-entry Case Management.

The Saint Vincent de Paul assists residents in the Troy area with rent.

Helps residents who need assistance with managing finances, paying bills, or maintaining a suitable residence. * Attendance at budgeting course (Banking 101: Banking Basics and Financial Literacy) required to receive financial assistance. Course provided through partnership of Catholic Charities and Key Bank.

Rent assistance may be available to help avoid homelessness. *Assistance available typically once per year *St. Vincent will only help up to $300 in most circumstances but will go up to $500 in special circumstances.

Provides limited one-time emergency assistance with rent, utilities, prescriptions, food, transportation and other approved needs.

Provides rent and utility assistance. Funding is very limited.
