Guide includes a comprehensive list of transit providers and services in the county. Also covers basics of using public transportation, information on travel training, safety tips for pedestrians and other information.

Transports to the Louis Stokes VA Hospital System at Cleveland (Wade Park) along with its Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) in Akron, Canton and New Philadelphia. NOTE: VA Medical Centers in Cleveland and Pittsburgh.
Investigates cases of abuse, neglect or exploitation of elderly persons - primarily persons over age 60; after hours situations can be referred to the police or Help Network of Northeast Ohio at 330-747-2696. Referrals for guardianship services.

Provides curb to curb public transportation service for Greene County residents. Individuals under the age of 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult (over the age 18 years of age). To arrange a trip, individuals must call by 3 pm two business days prior to the trip date and time needed. No transit service on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day; limited service on other major holidays.

FOR AGES 12-21 ONLY In partnership with Greyhound Lines, Inc., NRS helps reunite qualified runaway youth ages 12-21 with their families, or alternate living arrangement through a free bus ticket home. Youth must call 1-800-RUNAWAY (786-2929) to start the process. Must be between the ages of 12 and 21 and be returning to a parent, guardian, approved caregiver, or shelter or transitional living program. Conference call between the youth and person they are returning to is required as well as basic documentation (ID or equivalent). Youth 15 and under may require an approved adult to accompany them (if so, a free ticket for the accompanying adult is provided). Home Free can only be used in the United States. Documentation of youth's age and date of birth via an ID, birth certificate, or other official document is required, as well as the ID of the person they are returning to. Other documents may be required depending on the specific situation.
Provides assistance with food, shelter (rent or mortgage), utility bills (gas and electric - up to $300), principal car payments, and other needed services for veterans, active duty military, and dependent survivors. In some cases, may assist with indigent burial. Assistance is in the form of vouchers. Amount of assistance is based on demonstrated need. Also available to make community presentations about these services. Does not assist with reconnection fees for utilities.

Licking County Transit offers rides to and from LCCC for events, programs, and meals. Rides are free for those age 60 and older in Licking County.
Provides transportation for senior citizen residents of Hubbard city or township to medical appointments, shopping and social activities within Hubbard city or township.
Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Southwest Airlines provides complimentary, roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations. Southwest allows participating nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation nonprofit organizations the freedom to determine how to distribute the tickets to patients and/or caregivers. In Ohio, the following hospitals have received tickets to assist cancer patients: - Akron Children's Hospital (Akron/Canton, OH) - Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital (Cleveland, OH) - Nationwide Children's Hospital (Columbus, OH) - University Hospitals Case Medical Center (Cleveland, OH) - The Ohio State University--Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital (Columbus, OH).
