Individuals 60 and over may qualify for the assistance of a payee to help with paying bills and budgeting if this will help the individual stay in their own home.

Manages finances on behalf of individuals by budgeting their income and ensuring expenses are paid.

Provides advice and representation for those being evicted, foreclosed upon, locked out, having difficulty obtaining repairs from a landlord, or who have had utilities terminated. Advice and representation may also be available to those who wish to enforce special rules of subsidized housing, or those seeking assistance with land contract problems and housing discrimination matters. Provides information on budgeting and credit issues, available community resources, and options one might have when facing foreclosure.

Provides a pre-home buyers' course on budgeting, basic banking, credit and debt management, tax tips, the home buying process, asset creation, predatory lending, and financial goal setting. Clients receive a certificate upon completion of the course and are then entitled to one-on-one counseling and advice on specific financial matters.

Maintains information on investment firms, investment professionals, and alerts regarding investment scams. Accepts complaints and attempt to assist in resolving disputes regarding investments.

Conducts an assessment of a homeowner's financial situation and assists with development of a plan to address homeownership and financial issues, including foreclosure avoidance.

Provide temporary shelter for single women and women with children who are homeless. Length of stay is 30 days with goal of moving to stable housing. Assistance with finding permanent housing and other resources.

Provides individual assistance focusing on specific financial topics: a personal budget, creating a savings plan, paying down debt, understanding and improving credit scores.

Provides assistance for people who have cases involving consumer law such as contract disputes, creditor/debt problems, bankruptcies, unfair sales practices, and utility problems.

Provides information, guidance, and/or legal representation for people who believe that they are victims of unscrupulous lending institutions.

Provides services to Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Clark and surrounding counties. Services include: assistance to deaf individuals who need help understanding and managing tasks that require English, such as bills, letters and phone calls, working with bureaucratic entities such as HUD and OJS, and appointments (e.g. with a doctor); basic adult education groups to improve daily living skills such as managing money, health equity, navigating transportation, and making effective use of technology; vocational assistance to those who would like help finding employment; social events to communicate with one another prevent isolation; and workshops open to deaf and hard of hearing and family and friends on issues of importance to the deaf community.
