Clients receive a certificate upon completion of the course and are then entitled to one-on-one counseling and advice on specific financial matters.

Provides career and college counseling and financial aid assistance to those seeking help to begin or go back to college or post-secondary programs such as vocational schools or training programs. Counseling is given regarding career options and interests, colleges, the admission process, financial aid, the completion of forms, and scholarship searches. Offers financial assistance provided through three types of scholarships. Can counsel individuals on student loan debt and help find the best option to help pay the debt, such as Income Based Repayment plans, loan forgiveness options, and/or consolidation options. Will help with applications for those options. Note: Does not provide direct financial assistance.

Provides information on the financial aspects of caregiving, including long term care costs, tax tips for optimizing tax returns, and information on getting financial compensation for caring for a family member.

Provides information on the tax foreclosure process for those who have been notified that their property taxes are overdue and they are in danger of having their property foreclosed for non-payment. Can assist taxpayers needing to communicate with governmental bodies or with organizations who may have purchased taxpayers' overdue taxes from local governments and who may be foreclosing.

Evaluates cases related to consumer issues such: - Credit card collection lawsuits, or court debt from criminal case(s); - Student loans, payday loans, and auto title loans; - Home repair contracts or other contracts; - Recent repossessions, threat of repossession, and lawsuits following car repossession; - Medical or nursing home collection.

Provides programming from a Chabad - Chassidic philosophy to assist family members, couples, and individuals to understand preparation for marriage, home maintenance traditions, sexual relations, child development and money management. Rabbis provide one-to-one, couples, or family counseling on a variety of problem areas.

LASCO provides advice and representation for tenants who live in private or subsidized housing. Our goal is to preserve and improve the quality of the tenant’s home. Legal services are provided in the following areas: - Evictions - Fair housing - Security deposits - Issues with the condition of rental properties - Section 8 Voucher terminations - Mortgage foreclosures - Tax foreclosures.

Provides the following legal services for low-income clients with consumer protection and debt collection defense issues: advice on exempt assets and income, non-dischargeable debts and alternatives to bankruptcy, debt collectors and access to credit, fair debt collection, garnishment and liens, denial of credit; and consumer products and services, repossession, rent to own, warranties and contracts, telephone and utility bills, unfair sales practices, home improvement, and challenging credit reports.

Advice and representation may also be available to those who wish to enforce special rules of subsidized housing, or those seeking assistance with land contract problems and housing discrimination matters. Provides information and guidance related to money management and credit issues. Offers an assessment of a household's current financial status as well as solutions to achieve financial goals. Topics include budgeting, money management, credit maintenance, and goal setting.

Provides workshops and one-on-one coaching to help clients learn to manage their money better, identify money saving stategies, understand and improve credit, build assets, and improve financial literacy skills. Those who complete the workshops will earn a $100 savings bond and may also qualify for participation in an Individual Development Account in which every dollar saved is matched.

Program provides initial assessment and referrals for counseling. Includes individual, family, budget, and substance abuse counseling.

This toll-free hotline will connect callers to a nonprofit counselor who will provide telephone-based budget counseling assistance, customer triage and negotiation with lenders, when appropriate. If more assistance is needed, callers will be referred to a local nonprofit organization whose employees are certified to provide intensive financial counseling and direct consumers to local services and resources, including possible assistance through the Ohio Home Rescue Fund.
