Provides information about resources for taxpayers who are facing payment defaults or home refinancing in order to avoid foreclosure.

3 day class to prepare the individual for employment. Includes resume preparation, interviewing skills, confidence building activities, and employability skills. Barriers to employment will be discussed and help will be provided to overcome these barriers. The director will help the individual find employment and will work with the employer and employee throughout the first 1-2 years of employment.

Offers educational workshops and individual coaching sessions that focus on the essentials of money management, asset building, and financial independence. Topics that may be addressed include budgeting, banking, improving/establishing credit, and preparing for major purchases.

Offers personal finance and budgeting counseling including identifying income sources, identifying household expenses, preparing a budget, using money management tools, identifying possible crisis, setting financial goals, developing a savings plan, and eliminating debt.

Provides advice and representation for those being evicted, foreclosed upon, locked out, having difficulty obtaining repairs from a landlord, or who have had utilities terminated. Advice and representation may also be available to those who wish to enforce special rules of subsidized housing, or those seeking assistance with land contract problems and housing discrimination matters. Provides classes that address economic stability such as credit repair, budgeting, understanding predatory lending, and building personal resources.

Provides assistance to adults ages 19 and above and U.S. veterans to enroll in and complete a post-secondary education program

Provides free and confidential budgeting and money management counseling; an alternative to bankruptcy; financial counseling; credit counseling; debt management services including negotiating payment arrangements with creditors; does not pay bills; does not make loans; credit report review sessions available for a fee.

Provides financial literacy educational series of nine-week classes. Topics will include: smart goals, emergency savings, household cash flow, dealing with debt, understanding credit reports, and protecting your identity.

Self-directed guidance available to help distressed homeowners avoid foreclosure as well as negotiate an affordable monthly payment with their mortgage loan servicer. Individual counseling available on a limited basis. NHP is a HUD approved housing counseling agency.

Provides a pre-home buyers' course on budgeting, basic banking, credit and debt management, tax tips, the home buying process, asset creation, predatory lending, and financial goal setting. Clients receive a certificate upon completion of the course and are then entitled to one-on-one counseling and advice on specific financial matters.

Licenced social workers provide ongoing in-home needs assessment, care planning, and consultation to help vulnerable seniors maintain their independence through Senior Supportive Services. Assistance is provided for financial management, medical appointments, insurance, transportation, and housing needs, and by linkage to other community services.

Financial Literacy classes are offered to help establish economic self-sufficiency. Topics include budgeting understanding and building credit, tax preparation, saving and checking accounts, debt resolution and accessing loans.

Provides the following legal services for low-income clients with housing issues: Eviction defense and enforcement of tenants' rights; Protection of public housing subsidies; Home ownership, foreclosure, and access to housing; and other issues related to housing rights, including utility shut-offs, predatory lending, and the rights of tenants with disabilities.

Provide temporary shelter for single women and women with children who are homeless. Length of stay is 30 days with goal of moving to stable housing. Assistance with finding permanent housing and other resources.

Provides assistance with purchasing a home, including a homebuying workshop that includes information on the process of homebuying, explanation of duties involved in home ownership, review of sale agreements and loan documents and referral to programs that provide loans for purchase or renovation of a home. Agency provides housing counselors certified by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following completion of the workshop, participants receive 1-on-1 homebuying counseling.

Provides education on credit, contractual agreements, identity theft, and basic finances such as budgeting and saving.

Provides information and guidance regarding money management techniques and risk reduction for people who are having difficulty budgeting their money and meeting necessary monthly expenses.

Program to give people the knowledge, skills, and tools to make healthy, informed choices. Topics may include safe food practices, nutrition, financial knowledge, relationships, and more.

USS Caring Services offers the Bill Paying and Rep Payee Programs to Clark County older adults who either physically and/or cognitively have difficulty managing their monthly income. Bills are paid on time, check books are balanced and bank statements are reconciled through trained staff and volunteers.

Provides free, one-on-one financial counseling delivered by professionally trained coaches to individuals and families helping them to acquire the skills to budget and save, develop healthy banking relationships, and raise their credit scores. Promotes low fee checking accounts through the Bank On Rubber City program. Also provides assistance with defaulted student loans. Service is in-person or by phone.

Privides advice on housing issues that involves mortgage default, homebuyer education. This program also offers direct assistance with mortgage to prevent homelessness.
