Provides a lead-based paint risk assessment and remediation program that will either remove or encasulate the contamination in order to reduce or eliminate incidents of lead poisoning.

Medicaid Recipients
Provides a grant between $ 2,500-$5,500 to City of Lakewood homeowners and residents for exterior paint, supplies and labor to paint their home. Participants will be educated on lead safety issues. Property will be inspected by the agency (not a Building Dept. inspection) prior to approval, after prep work for the painting is done, and after work is completed. Amount of grant will be limited to amount of painting required as well as income guidelines.
Performs maintenance and repairs to remove contaminants and reduce hazards associated with the presence of lead paint in owner-occupied and rental housing units.
Program that can be used for lead-safe building certification, screening and testing for lead poisoning, education and outreach, and early intervention for children and families impacted by lead.
Provides immediate response to every casualty to assist the customer in getting back in their home in a timely manner with as little disruption as possible. Services include but are not limited to: - Decomposition cleanup - Crime Scene cleanup - Trauma Scene cleanup - Homicide & Suicide cleanup - Industrial accidents - Blood/Body Fluid removal - Odor removal.
Provides a lead-based paint remediation program.

Performs home repairs to address common places where lead paint could chip or erode. Eligible repairs are based on the condition and age of a home, but may include new windows and doors, siding, interior and exterior painting, and repairs to fascia and soffits.

Provides a lead abatement program to reduce lead-based paint hazards in homes. Services may include window replacement, siding, porch replacement/repair, and door replacement/repair. Program is in partnership with Summit County Public Health.
**Process can take over 90 days and is dependent on funding, program not appropriate for emergency situations** Provides funding address a variety of high priority housing based health and safety hazards in housing occupied by low- and moderate-income households, especially those with children. Funding is available for owner-occupied homes and residential rental properties. Both single-family and multi-family units (4 or less units) are eligible. Priority is given to homeowners.
