Program provides a preventative health care program that assists individuals in obtaining dental, vision, and comprehensive health screening services.

Ensures that every senior has access to medical eye care and promotes annual, dilated eye exams. Raise awareness about age-related eye disease, including cataracts, provide free eye care educational materials and facilitate access to eye care, at no out-of-pocket expense for eligible seniors. Provides a comprehensive medical eye exam and care for anything diagnosed at that exam for up to one year at no out-of-pocket cost for the physician's services. Does Not pay for eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services, or fees of other medical professionals.

Emphasizes assisting those with visual needs (glasses) but any other needs will be considered. Scholarships awarded to Lucas graduating seniors who are selected from applicants.

Helps provide eyeglasses for Mansfield residents. Also able to assist with eye care expense assistance.

Helps provide free eyeglasses to the needy in Plymouth, Shelby and Shiloh area. Does various fundraising events in the area.

Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to the Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

A service club that primarily helps with eyeglasses, however will try to assist those in need.

Provides free glaucoma educational materials and facilitates access to glaucoma eye exams. Eligible applicants receive a glaucoma eye exam and the initiation of treatment, if deemed necessary.

Eyeglass assistance for seniors (55+) is once per year. Eyeglass assistance for school age children is once per year. Assistance for all other ages will be once every five years.

Vision screening, financial aid for glasses, hearing exams.

Sight for Students provides an eye exam and glasses for eligible children under age 18. Children cannot be covered by any insurance including Medicaid. Application is completed at the Union County Health Department and submitted to Sight for Students for approval. Upon approval a voucher is issued for parents to pay for eye exam and glasses.

The Lions Club collaborates with People In Need and Pro Vision to provide financial aid toward the cost of eye glasses and eye examinations up to $125.

Assists with helping persons in need of vison care with paying for an eye exam and glasses.

Provides one time or infrequent services purchased for clients who are determined to be eligible when all other existing resources fall short. Example: Mattress set, appliances (non-working). HEMEN provides items that are a NEED and not covered by any other funding source.

The Seniors Program connects eligible adults 65 and older with a local volunteer ophthalmologist who provides a medical eye exam often at no out-of-pocket cost, and up to one year of follow-up care for any condition diagnosed during the initial exam, for the physician services.

Provides asssitance obtaining eye glasses for individuals unable to afford eye glasses themselves. * Program provided through partnership with the Wooster- Madisonburg Evening Lions Club to sponsor a joint sight fund to help meet the needs of Wooster area residents.
