Training funds are available through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), a federal program, to help individuals upgrade their skills or train for a new career. The Adult program focuses on individuals who are either unemployed or underemployed to help them gain the skills needed to obtain employment with higher wages. The Dislocated Worker Program serves workers who have been terminated or laid off and are unlikely to return to their previous occupation, or terminated or laid off due to a mass layoff or a plant closing.
Provides a vocational training and job placement service for unemployed or under-employed individuals. Includes career change counseling and assistance for displaced workers and displaced homemakers. Those interested in job training will first complete career testing and assessment before being placed in an appropriate training program. Offers all participants workshops, computer and telephone access, resume development, and other job search assistance. Maintains a database for job seekers to post their resumes for potential employers to view.

General Youth Employment Programs
Career technical training and education program for people ages 16 -24. Students can earn a high school diploma, a high school equivalency credential, or college credits through Job Corps. Offers career technical training in more than 100 career areas. Students receive housing, meals, basic health care, a living allowance, training, and preparation for a career, all at no cost. For up to 21 months after graduation, a career transition counselor will help students make the transition from Job Corps into the real world.
Assesses individuals' interests and skills for employment, develops employability plans, provides counseling, career readiness training, remedial education classroom and on-the-job search assistance, and self-directed placement.

Provides employment and training services in a convenient, easily accessible location. Provides PATH which is a Comprehensive Case Management and Employment Program (CCMEP) that can helps work-eligible youth and individuals ages 14-24 to build career paths and find employment. The program offers case management and a wide range of services specifically tailored to each individual to remove barriers to employment.
Offers an after school work readiness program designed to assist high school students through graduation and during their transition from school to work. Prepares and motivates students to acquire life survival skills and to develop a sense of self-worth. Follows up with 12 months of career counseling to ensure job retention and a successful transition into the workforce.

Participating in this program allows youth to work through challenges that are keeping them from finding and retaining a job or completing their education.
Provides free computer time with Internet access for employment purposes, resume help, workshops, employment counseling, skills training and upgrading, newspapers from around the area and other supportive services.
- Offers assistance to individuals with disabilities with searching for and maintaining employment. - Services include assessments of work skills, job seeking skills, assistance with resume writing and interviewing, career exploration, job placement assistance, job coaching and assistance with making arrangements for special needs in the workplace. - A community-based work experience can be offered in conjunction with this program, and Social Security/SSI/SSD Benefits. - Provides information to potential employers on ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and other topics important for hiring persons with disabilities.
