We are only as strong as our community. Silver Birch was founded to fill the gaps of those community members who have nowhere else to go in times of need and crisis by providing funding opportunities, to not only help them fix or purchase what they need, but to also to create a sense of safety in our community and healing. There are those individuals who have been victimized that don’t qualify for other sources and may have to move out of our community to receive the help they need. The Silver Birch Foundation loves to collaborate with other agencies to make sure that our communities are strong and healthy. With the generosity of our community we have not only been able to help those that have been victimized but those that have come into other forms of hardships. The smallest amount can make a difference in the life of someone. We are impacting a number of people through foundation. The foundation was founded with the intent to grow and help older adults and people with disabilities that not have only been victims but have a need that cannot be met through other means.

Program certifies low income families and adults for food stamp ebt cards which increase their purchasing power for grocery food items. To replace benefits they must apply at Job and Family Services within 10 days of the loss.SNAP recipients in Ohio can now use their EBT card to order groceries online for home delivery. This is a huge step forward, especially for those living in areas with limited access to full-service grocery stores. This new feature follows last month's decision by the US Department of Agriculture to expand the number of states participating in a pilot project testing online ordering. The expansion of the pilot is largely due to precautions around COVID 19. Ohio Job and Family Services applied to add Ohio to the participating states. Only Amazon and Walmart are offering this service at this point although we hope other retailers will join.
