"Pop-Up" Pantry happening on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 10am-12pm at Habitat for Humanity (405 W Chestnut). It will be a drive-through style pantry where families will get a box of food. Anyone at or below 200% of the FPL is eligible for a box. If anyone has specific questions about eligibility, they can call Interchurch at 740-397-4825. Help is needed with food distribution at Habitat for Humanity, 405 West Chestnut Street, Mount Vernon, OH. Volunteer Date, Saturday, November 1, 8am–2pm.

Offers evaluations for children and adults to determine the need for psychiatric medication to manage mental health related symptoms. Also offers medication management, including follow-up to evaluate the effectiveness of the medication.

211 Allen County

Special needs students served by the programs of the Knox ESC are enrolled in classrooms at Mount Vernon High School, Mount Vernon Middle School, and at the Knox Learning Center. The Knox Learning Center also includes classrooms for middle school and high school students in need of credit recovery. Credit recovery students complete online courses under the supervision of Learning Center staff and volunteers. Both special education and credit recovery students have access to a complete range of educational services, and can complete all coursework required for graduation at the Knox Learning Center. Academic, social, and emotional support for students at the Learning Center is provided by social workers, parent mentors, classroom aides, and teachers employed by the Knox Educational Service Center.

Offers horsemanship activities for persons with disabilities (physical, emotional, or cognitive) and without disabilities. Students learn basic riding skills while increasing balance coordination, flexibility, strengthen muscles, increase attention span, and build confidence and self-esteem.

Offers skilled home health care treatment in the patient's home. Nurses, physical and occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, medical social workers, home health aides, homemakers, and live-in companions are all available to meet patient's needs.

Provides employment related legal services including resolving concerns that interfere with job training or employment, securing unpaid wages, and securing income and medical benefits.

Provides a facility where a wide variety of services are made available to older adults. Offers various recreational opportunities including weekly activities, van trips, special events and presentations. Activities include euchre, fitness classes, billiards, bible study, ceramics, and woodworking.

Provides a hospital diversion program for young adults. Includes hospital outreach, CSPT, individual and group counseling, benefits consultation and vocational services, psycho-educational groups for youth and parents and support groups for parents/caregivers.

Provides registration/renewal of license plates for motorized vehicles in the state. Issues, transfers and maintains on file titles for motor vehicles.

Offers gynecological health services and family planning including annual exams, birth control, STI testing, and pregnancy testing.

Provides assistance to increase the energy efficiency of homes and reduce household energy expenditures. Services include: safety inspection of gas appliances, carbon monoxide alarms, education on energy saving, insulation, as well as inspection, repair, and possible replacement of furnace and hot water tank (if warranted), and customer education. Will also provide installation of water conservation devices including low-flow showerheads, toilet dams and faucet aerators. Services provided through contracted agencies. Service provided depends on the assessment of the property. Not a rehab program (home must not be vacant and utilities must be on).

Offers a series of classes on bicycle safety related topics. Classes are interactive and designed to increase participants' interest in bicycling as well as learning how to cycle safely, what traffic safety laws apply, and bicycle maintenance. Refreshments and snacks may be available.
