Also offers advice regarding particular tenant-landlord disputes and advocates on tenants' behalves with their landlords when appropriate. Provides information and training to residents regarding landlord/tenant concerns and fair housing laws which prohibit discrimination because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability, ancestry, color, family status, or military status.

No cost legal services for low-income clients with legal issues that hinder employment or self-sufficiency. Including driver's license suspensions, sealing or expunging criminal records, correcting credit problems, creditor harassment; assisting with outstanding warrants.

Provides various methods of assistance for tenants with eviction issues: - Offers a hotline for individuals to receive eviction advice from an attorney. - Holds virtual clinics, by Zoom meeting, to provide general information on the eviction process and have questions answered by an attorney. - Provides an online toolkit to walk renters through the eviction process, help them prepare for court and provides template documents needed.

Program provides Eviction Prevention Tenant/Landlord Dispute Resolution Services and free Tenant Eviction Prevention Education Workshops for tenants. Note: if resident is behind on rent and is at risk of eviction, this program will help link tenant to emergency rental assistance in the community and help them problem solve with their landlord so they may get caught up on back rent and maintain their current housing. Program also offers a 2.5-hour free Eviction Prevention Workshops (via Zoom) for tenants to learn how to avoid risk of eviction in the future. Tenants may register for workshops on Event Brite.

Supports Ohio residents and organizations seeking guidance on a variety of housing issues including landlord-tenant law, the Fair Housing Act, tenant organization and affordable housing preservation. Cannot provide legal representation, housing referrals, or rental assistance, or financial aid.

Provides mediation for tenants and landlords to address and resolve conflicts prior to the filing of an eviction.

Provides advice and representation for those being evicted, foreclosed upon, locked out, having difficulty obtaining repairs from a landlord, or who have had utilities terminated. Advice and representation may also be available to those who wish to enforce special rules of subsidized housing, or those seeking assistance with land contract problems and housing discrimination matters. Provides first month's rent and security deposit to help veterans establish permanent housing. Will also help with rent to help veterans stay in their current housing. Clients are provided with benefits assistance, landlord/tenant assistance, and case management to ensure that they are connected to available community resources and VA benefits. Clients do not have to stay in the county they reside in (may move from county to county).

Addresses general questions about situations that come under the jurisdiction of the Ohio Landlord Tenant Law or HUD regulation. Provides mediation and conflict resolution to tenants who are having a conflict or other issues with their landlord. Will help the client understand their rights as a tenant and advise on how to resolve the situation.

Assists with tenant/landlord, foreclosure, and other types of housing disputes with the goal of maintaining housing and preventing homelessness.
