The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) offers various medical expense financial assistance programs to help individuals living with blood cancer.
Provides limited assistance on a case by case basis with medical needs.
Provides a State and Federally funded medical care benefit (a form of Medicaid) to low-income foreign nationals, immigrants, refugees/entrants/asylees, permanent residents and undocumented persons who are hospitalized for childbirth or experience an emergency medical condition during their stay in the county.

Provides assistance to children with special health care needs and their families through three different programs with varying eligibility. *Diagnostic Program: services for up to six months, from CMH-approved providers, to rule out or diagnose a special health care need or establish a plan of treatment. Services may include: Tests and x-rays Therapy evaluations Public health nursing services Visits to CMH-approved doctors Up to five days in the hospital *Treatment Program: services for one year, from CMH-approved providers, for treatment of an eligible condition. May include: laboratory tests, x-rays, physician visits, prescription medications, medical equipment and supplies, surgeries, hospitalizations, public health nursing services and therapies as well as service coordination. All services must be related to the child’s eligible condition. *Service Coordination Program: helps families locate and coordinate services for their child.

Provides financial grants of up to $5,000 for families who have children with critical medical needs not covered or not fully covered by their commercial health benefit plan. The Foundation aims to fill the gap between what medical services/items a child needs and what the commercial health benefit plan will pay. Grant awards are retroactive to sixty (60) days prior to the date of application and have an expiration date of approximately one year, unless the funds are exhausted prior to the expiration date. The grant will NOT cover any medical costs outside this date range.

This expansion of care will help prevent veteran suicide by guaranteeing no cost, world-class care to veterans in times of crisis. It will also increase access to acute suicide care for up to 9 million veterans who are not currently enrolled in VA.
