Alien Emergency Medical Assistance (AEMA) | Allen County Department Of Job And Family Services
Provides a State and Federally funded medical care benefit (a form of Medicaid) to foreign nationals, immigrants, refugees/entrants/asylees, permanent residents, and undocumented persons who are hospitalized for childbirth or experience an emergency medical condition during their stay in the county, and who have limited resources. If eligibility is satisfied, the hospital will be paid directly for the care received. Other providers whose services are directly connected to the emergency event may also be paid, as determined on a case-by-case basis.

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) announced today that a wide variety of no-cost health services will be offered to residents of Crawford County.
The services are made possible through a partnership between ODH, the Ohio National Guard, Crawford County Public Health, the Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and local community partners. Services include:

- Bicycle helmets
- Blood lab work
- Blood lead level screenings
- Car Seats (and car-seat safety checks)
- Dental exams and treatments
- Financial coaching
- Immunizations for all ages
- Mammograms
- Physicals (including sports physicals)
