Develops service plan which addresses the full range of medical, social, educational, psychological, recreational, vocations, and personal needs of the children and their families. Provides a State and Federally funded medical care benefit (a form of Medicaid) to foreign nationals, immigrants, refugees/entrants/asylees, permanent residents, and undocumented persons who are hospitalized for childbirth or experience an emergency medical condition during their stay in the county, and who have limited resources. If eligibility is satisfied, the hospital will be paid directly for the care received. Other providers whose services are directly connected to the emergency event may also be paid, as determined on a case-by-case basis.

The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) announced today that a wide variety of no-cost health services will be offered to residents of Crawford County. The services are made possible through a partnership between ODH, the Ohio National Guard, Crawford County Public Health, the Crawford County Board of Developmental Disabilities, and local community partners. Services include: - Behavioral health services - Bicycle helmets - Blood lab work - Blood lead level screenings - Car Seats (and car-seat safety checks) - Dental exams and treatments - Financial coaching - Immunizations for all ages - Mammograms - Physicals (including sports physicals) - Vision exams and prescriptions In addition, a resource fair on site will help people get access to local healthcare providers and have information on addiction care, the state’s Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), the Ohio Women, Infants, and Children program (WIC), Job & Family Services, Medicaid, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Ohio, and much more.

Paying off medical debt for qualifying residents. Provided in partnership with the national nonprofit Undue Medical Debt (formerly RIP Medical Debt). Undue Medical Debt uses funds to purchase medical debts in large, bundled portfolios for a fraction of their face value. It notifies recipients by mail if one or more of their debts has been purchased and erased.

Services may include: Tests and x-rays Therapy evaluations Public health nursing services Visits to CMH-approved doctors Up to five days in the hospital *Treatment Program: services for one year, from CMH-approved providers, for treatment of an eligible condition. May include: laboratory tests, x-rays, physician visits, prescription medications, medical equipment and supplies, surgeries, hospitalizations, public health nursing services and therapies as well as service coordination. All services must be related to the child’s eligible condition. *Service Coordination Program: helps families locate and coordinate services for their child.

If we do not currently have funding to assist you, we will refer you to other financial assistance resources.

Helps connect women in Ashland County without insurance to resources which cover costs of routine mammograms, such as BCCP (Breast Cervical Cancer Prevention) program. If a program is not found, then through University Samaritan Medical Center Women's Care a mammogram can be scheduled and ACCA will pay for it.
