Program provides prescription sports goggles to vision-impaired youth from low-income families. Goggles can be used in a variety of sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer, racket sports, girls lacrosse and field hockey.

Library has more than 1500 developmental toys, switches, developmental software programs, and low-technology augmentative communication devices that are available for families to borrow for use at home for 30-day periods. Consultation to families is available to help them identify appropriate toys, switches, low-tech communication devices, software and computer access products to match the needs of their child. A computer lab is on-site for families and professionals to preview software, try out hardware to match the accessibility needs of a child. The staff is knowledgeable with many software and computer access products and will assist invidious in learning how to use these products. The staff at the library provides presentations regarding assuasive technology; computer access to parent groups, and professionals along with graduate and undergraduate students.

Offers a biking competition in conjunction with Optimist Club. Police officers inspect and license bikes and enter them in the computer so they may compete.

Works with leagues and individuals in Ohio to promote the use of protective eyewear and face gear to reduce the number of sports eye injuries. Provides baseball and softball helmets with face masks and prescription and non-prescription sports goggles.

Provides lights to use on the front and rear of bicycles in an effort to increase safe biking at night time. Lights are compliant with state requirements for bicycles (white front light and red tail light visible from 500 ft.) Batteries may be included.
