Sisterhood / Summer Of Sisterhood | West Side Community House

Provides an after school learning lab with computers, reading materials, and tutors. Overall focus is on literacy. Includes: service learning, college and career exploration, health and wellness, social skills and self-esteem, recreation trips, among other services. Also offers a competitive summer arts program where girls work with professional artist/teachers in several areas of the arts including: music and poetry composition, creative writing, dance, acting, or graphic design. Girls write music and lyrics, choreograph, perform, and record a CD of their work. Live performance at end of summer.

Academic Enrichment/Mentoring For Youth | 100 Black Men Of Greater Cleveland

Offers an academic enrichment and social responsibility program for youth to participate in projects that are led by mentors and are designed to teach life skills, promote self-discipline, self-respect, and personal responsibility, and provide educational experiences and exposure to different careers. May offer counseling and tutoring as part of this program. Parents are encouraged to participate.

Family First Steps | Greenleaf Family Center

Offers a prenatal support program for low-income pregnant women. Provides in home case management services through Community Health Workers (CHW) who make regular home visits throughout the duration of the pregnancy and until the child turns three (3) years old. In addition, offers support, education, and resources via a telehealth option.

Moms And Babies First - Ohio'S Black Infant Vitality Program | Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services

Provides specialized home-based prenatal services to African American mothers and their families with the goal of reducing infant mortality. Licensed community health workers are assigned to enrolled pregnant women to provide 1 or 2 in-home, monthly face-to-face visits that will continue until the child is 2 years old.

Provides opportunities for older adults to give support and care to children who have special needs in school and daycare settings. Participants receive a small stipend, an annual physical examination, accident and liability insurance and meals during service hours.

Provides college students with programs designed to equip them with skills, practical work experience and insights necessary to become successful in business, technical and/or allied health careers. Services include mentoring and leadership development activities. The goal is placement in a job following graduation, preferably with the sponsoring business. Also provides a support group for the parents of participants, who meet to assist the development of their children, to further their own professional development, and to plan fundraising activities. There is also an active alumni group.
