An Africentric mentoring program committed to affirming the positive aspects of childhood while easing the transition to womanhood. Matches African American women to act as role models for African American girls. Mentor is assigned for a minimum of 6 months.

Provides in home case management services through Community Health Workers (CHW) who make regular home visits throughout the duration of the pregnancy and until the child turns three (3) years old. In addition, offers support, education, and resources via a telehealth option.

Offers youth the opportunity to participate in activities that work toward empowering African-Americans and eliminating racial and other forms of discrimination. Provides specialized home-based prenatal services to African American mothers and their families with the goal of reducing infant mortality. Licensed community health workers are assigned to enrolled pregnant women to provide 1 or 2 in-home, monthly face-to-face visits that will continue until the child is 2 years old.

Program is based on Africentric mentoring and rites of passage. Simba matches African American male youths with African American men from the community to act as role models and give friendship, support, and guidance to the young men. Mentors are assigned for a minimum of six months.

Provides a variety of services that cover women's health concerns, including, breast exams, pap smears, obstetrics/gynecological services, pregnancy testing, birth control, midwifery, and prenatal care, including care for high risk pregnancies. Helps those minorities who are age 55 or older and of low income to improve the quality of their lives by obtaining paid employment and training. Individuals are placed in local non-profit agencies. Also will help in matters pertaining to housing information, health promotion and advocacy by giving referrals/suggestions as needed. Participants may be eligible for up to 4 years of employment.

Provides help for those starting or wanting advice on the development of their small business. Program has two tracks: one provides a comprehensive series of classes that explores and educates participants on all aspects of starting their own business. The second track provides direct help in evaluating and expanding businesses already in existence.

Provides heatlh education programs and events, and leads advocacy efforts for health issues and policy initiatives to increase awareness of racial health disparities in Greater Cincinnati.

Provides an after school learning lab with computers, reading materials, and tutors. Overall focus is on literacy. Includes: service learning, college and career exploration, health and wellness, social skills and self-esteem, recreation trips, among other services. Also offers a competitive summer arts program where girls work with professional artist/teachers in several areas of the arts including: music and poetry composition, creative writing, dance, acting, or graphic design. Girls write music and lyrics, choreograph, perform, and record a CD of their work. Live performance at end of summer.
