Includes assistance with becoming a foster or adoptive parent, parenting skills for foster parents, adoption and foster care support groups and life skills education.

Program is based on Africentric mentoring and rites of passage. Simba matches African American male youths with African American men from the community to act as role models and give friendship, support, and guidance to the young men. Mentors are assigned for a minimum of six months.

An Africentric mentoring program committed to affirming the positive aspects of childhood while easing the transition to womanhood. Matches African American women to act as role models for African American girls. Mentor is assigned for a minimum of 6 months.

Offers a prenatal support program for low-income African American pregnant women. Provides in home case management services through Community Health Workers (CHW) who make regular home visits throughout the duration of the pregnancy and until the infant turns one (1) year old. In addition, offers support, education and resources via a telehealth option.

Offers youth the opportunity to participate in activities that work toward empowering African-Americans and eliminating racial and other forms of discrimination. Participants take part in monthly voter registration drives and may participate in state, regional, and national conventions. Offers incentives to youth to stay in school.

Provides an annual black experience cultural series for the community with lectures by speakers, the creative work of visual and performing artists, videos, and film presentations.

Provides information and assistance in completing forms to apply for various benefits and entitlements they may be eligible for. Also provides basic information about income taxes, as well as State, Federal, and local Income Tax forms. Provides blood pressure screening and one on one evaluations from the agency staff, assessing needs around food, personal care, and other urgent matters.

Classes provide information and practice that helps establish routines, communication, builds children's self-worth, rewards and punishments, personal power, handling stress and anger, praise and self-nurturing. Limited child care available during classes. Class includes a certificate of completion. Maximum of 10 parents/class.

Provides a 5-week group series and sacred space for African-American adults. Works to help individuals return to themselves while coping with the impact of ongoing racial trauma.

Offers pre-loan counseling and technical assistance for minority and disadvantaged business owners who have growth potential but face challenges obtaining capital. Services are provided through the Urban League’s Entrepreneurship Center and partner organizations.

Provides a variety of services that cover women's health concerns, including, breast exams, pap smears, obstetrics/gynecological services, pregnancy testing, birth control, midwifery, and prenatal care, including care for high risk pregnancies. The mission of AALI (African American Leadership Initiative) is to identify and cultivate African American leaders in Mansfield and Richland County. AALI functions to create a network of diverse leaders with relevant opportunities to connect and contribute. AALI Social is a monthly gathering for the purpose of networking and establishing connections.

Provides counseling, case management, family and group therapy and crisis intervention services on a short-term basis for clients who demonstrate a need for support beyond prevention. Service includes counseling to deal with bereavement and trauma issues.

Provides workshops designed to develop life skills needed to decrease infant mortality, reduce stress, accomplish goals, and make health life choices.
