Provides volunteer attorneys that offer legal assistance to personnel of the armed forces who are enlisted in the reserves or National Guard and are currently activated, or are on active duty. Assists enlisted personnel and their families in exercising their rights under the Soldiers' and Sailors Civil Relief Act. Also, will provide legal assistance for wills, powers of attorney, living wills, and durable power of attorney for health care. Will not assist with legal matters such as divorce and child custody (does not represent in court).
Provides temporary housing for veterans and active-duty military personnel who are receiving treatment at a military or Veterans Affairs (VA) medical center and their families.

Provides an experiential habilitation or therapy program in which the horse serves as a co-facilitator or co-therapist. Equestrian therapy provides an experience with horses that fosters growth, communication skills, self-esteem, self-awareness, healing, and personal transformation. Clients learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses and then discussing feelings, behaviors, and patterns. Services are provided on a 20-acre horse farm. The program is provided in partnership with Walsh University and area Rotary clubs.

Provides financial assistance to low-income active United States military personnel (all branches of service) currently deployed overseas and to low-income post 9/11 Veterans with a wound, illness or injury received in the line of duty (LOD). Accepted reasons for financial assistance include mortgage assistance, rent assistance, home repairs, utility assistance, auto repairs, auto payments, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items (mattresses and box springs and appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove), medical expense assistance, emergency dental assistance, critical baby items, and other financial assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for critical baby items, food, and vision care to active duty service member with rank of rank E1-E6 with DEERS-eligible dependents. Note: Does NOT provide financial assistance for credit card debt or personal loans and does NOT assist with down payments for vehicles or homes.

Provides some free legal services for military personnel and their families. Assists service members with exercising rights under the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act, drafting wills and delegating power of attorney.
Provides free resources to active military personnel in the areas of financial literacy and consumer protection. The five (5) main components of the program are: - Education: Many Local BBBs on and around military installations teach financial readiness classes to service members. - Outreach: BBB staff attend and support community fairs, conferences and other events, speaking with service members and distributing information. - Information: BBB website provides a one-stop shop for articles, links and consumer alerts for each branch of service. The website, Facebook page and X/Twitter have a resources page with consumer guides written for military members. Provides the free app, "Military & Money", which features educational resources and tools to help users make informed decisions about money. - Data Collection: Analyzes BBB data to help identify the threats and needs of the military community in the marketplace. - Complaint and Dispute Resolution: Filing a complaint with BBB helps military consumers resolve disputes and alert the BBB to issues affecting the military community at large.

Assistance includes: - Bedside Financial Support: offers needs-based financial assistance for expenses that are most pressing during a long hospitalization or rehabilitation. Covers expenses such as additional travel/lodging expenses, childcare and out of pocket expenses. - Housing Assistance: provides adaptive housing for wheelchairs and helps those who have fallen behind on housing payments due to injury. - Transportation Assistance: offers adaptive modes of transportation including modified wheelchairs, lift ramps, vehicles and snow removal equipment.

Contacts deployed military personnel on behalf of families experiencing an event which requires an urgent communication such as a death, illness, or birth of a child. Assists with emergency leave verification and basic information and referral. Provides access to emergency funds available through the various military aid societies (Army Emergency Relief, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Air Force Aid Society, and the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance). Assists with acquiring funds which can be used for a variety of purposes such as burial of a loved one, emergency travel, and emergency food and shelter. NOTE: Assistance may come in the form of a loan or grant.
