Warm Choice Weatherization Programs | Columbia Gas Of Ohio

Provides home weatherization for households that qualify by being at or below 150 percent of the federal poverty guideline. For a family of four, the household yearly income must be at or below $30,000). Consumers can receive insulation in attics, walls and basements, home health and safety testing and inspections, and heating system repairs or replacements. In addition to the incentives this program will bring to residential consumers, a financing program may help customers invest in these energy savings projects. Columbia Gas may offer low or no interest programs to eligible customers to help pay for improvements resulting from the program.

Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) | Columbia Gas Of Ohio

LIHEAP helps pay the winter heating bills or summer cooling bills of low-income and elderly people. During extreme weather conditions, people living in poverty and low-income elderly should not have to choose between buying fuel to heat or cool their homes and buying food for themselves and their families. Since two-thirds of the families receiving LIHEAP assistance have incomes of less than $8,000 a year, the program clearly helps the people who need help the most.
