Provides emergency undesignated temporary financial assistance to veterans and their families in Butler County. Services include assistance with obtaining or paying for food, hygiene, basic living expenses, transportation and car repairs, clothing, day care, and other requests upon approval.

PRC program was established in Ohio to help families overcome immediate barriers to achieving or maintaining self-sufficiency. The program provides benefits and services to families who are in need of help with essential support to become self-sufficient. The PRC Program is designed to: •Prevent families from having to apply for OWF cash assistance when a crisis arises; •Help families retain employment by enhancing job skills , overcoming barriers and providing short-term assistance or wage supplementation if necessary. •Provide for contingent needs by helping families with nonrecurring urgent problems that could, if left unattended, result in families needing long-term public assistance. •Support families receiving OWF with services to enable them to become self-sufficient. Provides temporary financial assistance to qualifying veterans who meet the eligibility requirements. Assistance requests must be documented, along with proof of need. An appointment must be made with our financial coordinator, Melissa Wheeler to determine what assistance can be given. All applications for assistance have to be submitted to our commissioners for approval. Our commissioners meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Below is a list of documents that are required to be brought in with you for your appointment: - Wages for the past 30 days for all family members. - Receipts for bills paid over the past 30 days. - Current and past due bills. - Copy of DD214 or Report of Separation. - Copy of birth certificate for child/children. - Current bank statement. - Proof of assistance from other agencies Failure to provide the necessary documents can delay the application approval process.

Contacts deployed military personnel on behalf of families experiencing an event which requires an urgent communication such as a death, illness, or birth of a child. Offers emergency leave verification and basic information and referral. Provides access to emergency funds available through the various military aid societies (Army Emergency Relief, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society, Air Force Aid Society, and the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance). The funds can be used for a variety of purposes such as medical care, car repair, emergency travel and utility bill payment assistance. Assistance may come in the form of an interest free loan, a direct grant, or some combination of the two.

There is a limit of $400/calendar year ($200/semi yearly) for assistance with medication grants. There is a one-time/year amount of up to $100 for emergency grants. Emergency needs may include, but are not limited to, utilities and car repair. Offers transportation assistance in the form of mileage reimbursement, bus passes, and cab vouchers (on an emergency basis) for dialysis and transplant patients. Makes available personalized medical alert tags. No assistance is offered for rent, mortgage, or lease payments. Also offers financial assistance to those with kidney disease who are pursuing higher education.
